Cost Accountant Financial Analyst
The Cost Accountant Financial Analyst maintains and monitors cost and manufacturing accounting processes for all business locations, also performs and presents financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, inventory analysis, and cost accounting.
Analyze and report the financial results including revenues, margin analysis, product-line profitability, operating profit and balance sheet/controllership activities.
Responsible for the timely and accurate collection and reporting of cost related financial information and variance analysis.
Support annual operating and capital budget process, assisting the monthly closing, forecast updates and budget consolidations.
Provides expertise support to operations for Inventory, costing, scrap and any costing related issues.
Participates in the month-end close for inventory related areas, including preparation of required journal entries.
Prepare and own monthly inventory account reconciliations.
Prepares periodic manufacturing variance analysis: PPV, labor, burden.
Analyzes and reviews bills of material to ensure accurate product costing.
Prepares actual versus budget analysis, manufacturing profit variance analysis, and actual to standard cost comparisons.
Lead EOZ management to keep the exposure to minimum.
Work closely with Operations in inventory management: reduction in inventory balance, increase in turns.
Organizes and leads the annual physical inventory and manages the cycle counting process as appropriate.
Lead annual standard cost roll, quarterly update for WIP OH, and WIP labor.
Meet critical business unit and corporate deadlines such as the monthly accounting close, reconciliations and reporting.
Responsible to all inventory and costing related reporting to corporate according to the financial reporting calendar.
Special projects assignments to continue to improve process in the company.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Work in ambient or climate-controlled environment, sitting for long periods at a desk, use computer, routine office equipment, etc.
This is exempt position that will require extended work hours depending on projects/workload.
Must be able to travel and possess a valid driver's license and international travel documents.
Degree in Accounting and Finance.
Minimum of 3-5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections, financial planning, internal financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements.
Strong business acumen, analytical and data gathering skills.
Ability to make ethical and sound business decisions to continually mitigate risk for the business.
Ability to deliver accurate and detailed reports in a timely manner.
Ability to drive accounting processes.
Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate strong leadership and team building skills.
Self-driven, proactive, a strong sense of urgency and follow up skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to travel to the Mexico manufacturing facility 3-4 times a year.
Excellent Excel skills.
Excellent data mining skills: SAP Business Object, One Stream, JDE.
Able to work extended hours for month close, budgeting, etc.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
